Yes very nice. Now you get the idea:)

that is the new Husky 610. damn...it looks sweet.

So tell me more about this super moto stuff. How will that bike hang on the street (assuming I'm not a boy racer type)? And can I do light trails with my son on those tires? Looks a little sketchy to me. Would buying a second set of wheels (or tires) be a viable way to swing both ways?

I have found pricing on the KTMs...haven't found Husky pricing yet.

btw...Len, we're agreeing on something. Warning...warning....warning.

I have been collecting info like crazy, the tire choices are all over the map and offroad is no problem (some of the KTMs actually come with MX wheel sets as well)! I am working on finding vids to post. Husky is actually cheaper from what I've found. I never cared for the dual sports, cause they were so neutered in both appearance and performance, these suckers are the real deal!

Give it time, we'll be at each other soon:)

todd, the KTM dealer here has that one pictured displayed on the window. my project is going past right in front and i see it everyday. agony. but they have a sign posted right next to the bike, that it comes with two sets of wheels. it is displayed with slick-like tires, and the sign says it comes with dirt wheels too. i dont know if it is just this dealer, but it is scuderia west in san francisco. let me know, i will pick your arse up at the airport. haha.

my GIRLFRIEND has the suzuki duelpurpose200. and that little turd has drum brakes, and the throttle is ON/OFF. i mean full throttle all the time. it makes going to the store to get milk just about the funniest thing in the world. for city driving, nothing beats it. you sit up high, you can see over cars, the bike is narrow for lane splitting ease. you will improve your wheelie skills. i want the suzuki 400 just so i dont have to keep riding my GF's bike. and then we can do trails together. i want alot of damn things right now. but for the record, in the twisties, i cannot keep up with a thumper supermotard bike. they hang turns fast. ground clearance for days, they hang the foot and drag it around a turn, thump thump thump away. me and my (past) ninja gets humiliated all the time.

yeah, but historically the dual purpose bikes have pretty much sucked on the street. I had a Yamaha 360 waaay back in the day, and knobbies + pavement = no fun.

Seems like these SM bikes are a somewhat different breed...or at least are more tuned to deal with street conditions. Maybe I'm just wearing my rose colored glasses though...
