when did these get cool?

i have always wanted a airstream trailer for hunting, simple camping trips, etc. i thought of starting a resto project where i bring an older unit up to date with a very contemporary interior. SS kitchen, cool lighting, crisp furnishing.... looks like the factory beat me to it. anyone have one?

I was in a recently renovated bowling alley a could of weeks ago. Inside they had an Airstream done over into a walk up bar which was cool.

They have always been popular. They have Airstream clubs that have a huge cult following with shows, camping trips etc. Those Airstreams cost a fortune though; even the old ones demand a large premium.
