Poll: tabs? (or is that pulltabs?)

considering that four out of the last twenty threads were started by tabs, about tabs, with not many replies other than from tabs, the question I submit to you is this:

has tabs lost it?

discuss

Did he ever really have it?

Of all the things I've lost in life, I miss my mind the most.....

tabs 02-20-2005 01:33 PM

I'm just pissed off thats all...The Registry had every right to ax me...no doubt...But...They never said a word, they played me for a fool...I could still be there blightly posting away, it was only because of the chatter that nothing I was posting was coming up that tipped me off.

Like I said if they had been straight up and told me they axed me it would have been clean...but because they just pulled the rug without letting me know....it leaves a lot of loose ends that I'm forced to deal with...and that leaves a bad taste in my mouth...so excuse me if I rant a little bit....

ronin 02-20-2005 03:33 PM

what I'd like to know is what you say that keeps getting you banned at all these other boards. relatively speaking, you're pretty tame here compared to some of the other hotheads that have graced these forums. is there a higher level of understanding on this board? do we know something that they don't? could Wayne be in line for the next Pulitzer? or are we just more level-headed?

tabs 02-20-2005 03:59 PM

The Ferrari Board really didn't count...I was pretty outrageous with them and lasted 20 minutes tops....

with regards to the Registry..besides my own mistakes...I find there is a greater acceptance of what I say here, then over there...I have no need to be abrasive here as I am listened to and not pilloried for being myself...

BTW: They really should have told me, I wouldn't have put up a fight, because I was pretty much ready to move on anyway.

Hay Tabs - F$%#'m if they can'tt take a joke!!!

ronin 02-20-2005 07:25 PM

ditto Mike! and to think, Tabby finds sanctuary on a board that is allegedly filled to the brim with intolerant "neo-cons." go figure ;)

ronin 02-20-2005 07:27 PM

tabs, IIRC you had been on the registry for quite some time. any idea what might have pushed them over the edge?

juanbenae 02-20-2005 07:38 PM

leave it to ron to opened this can O worms... you could have left well enough alone and tabs' swelling would have subsided....

seems the registry is the board of choice, and tabs comes back to pelican OT to feel in charge again. they have run him away w/o telling him, and tabs, getting that kind of info second hand hurts our boy. here he is as he believes, in charge, larger than life.. there at the registry they attempt to censor, tolerate, "deal" with tabs, this makes him lash out and type hateful things to the few who don't ignore. he wants the registry's love because he can't have it. he rejects our (pp ot) admiration, because he has it, right there where he might relish it. but he pushes us away with a flury of post screaming for our help. we love tabs as much as any community could, this is his niche'. might i say tabs is unconditionally respected/loved here in PP-ot?

the registry rejects him when they've had enough and he comes here to "tantrum". we listen, we understand, we look to tabby to do our dirty work. who else would have asked cool_chickto dance 1st, put a crown on jackie O, backed bush because mother said so ? who else would share the finer points of living off a trust, assulting buffeti (thats plural buffet) and painting his visionarist portraits of how the world should look, and smell.

we will continue to eat up his wisdom, and everyday he's not swinging from a shower curtain is a good day to be alive.

tabs,, get well soon you sick bastard.

ronin 02-20-2005 07:43 PM

lmao!

but a minor correction is in order. I started this mess. now vote, suckah!

and

But Toole's greatest achievement is Ignatius Reilly himself, intellectual, ideologue, deadbeat, goof-off, glutton, who should repel the reader with his gargantuan bloats, his thunderous contempt and one-man war against everybody -- Freud, homosexuals, heterosexuals, Protestants, and the assorted excesses of modern times. Imagine an Aquinas gone to pot, transported to New Orleans whence he makes a wild foray through the swamps to LSU at Baton Rouge, where his lumber jacket is stolen in the faculty men's room where he is seated, overcome by mammoth gastrointestinal problems. His pyloric valve periodically closes in response to the lack of a "proper geometry and theology" in the modern world.

M.D. Holloway 02-20-2005 09:15 PM

Reading the review, sure paints me a vivid pic of what I envision Tabs to be - the uncle that farts in church, teaches ya how to spite threw your teeth and sneaks you a sip of warm Miller when your Mom ain't looking. Well loved, well worn and always welcome. No perty would be complete wihout him.

tabs 02-20-2005 10:51 PM

Thank You alll....sniff sniff.....

I started out on the Early Registry soon after I bought my computer and got linked to the net....I thought it was home since I loved the early 911S's...like some guys love the SC's or 944's....I didn't find much acceptance for my brand of humor etc...and eventually came over here...where I have found the love I need..and over the past year or so have gone less and less back to the Registry for anything....till they did what they did...thats why I say I was pretty much ready to move on anyway...But it's like saying goodbye to the house you grew up in when you finally move away..there will always be a little sadness at saying goodbye.

tabs 02-20-2005 11:00 PM

Forget the warm Miller....try a shot of Jack Daniels....The 3 best disapations for men in the world are...the second is good whiskey the third is a good cigar and the first is well a good looking woman to fk....

Bill Douglas 02-20-2005 11:02 PM

Now even I'm crying...

kach22i 02-21-2005 10:14 AM

Tabby:

Start your own registry....Maybe you will attract other malcontents..

Imagine the fun!!

tabs 02-21-2005 10:49 AM

Everyone who responded to my recent posts has been noted as a malcontent and is marked for death by an R Gruppe hit squad...I personally don't think there is much to worry about as they are such a bunch of bumbling fools as you can see how well they took care of me. Oh well I must really stop these diatribes against such a primitive group of aborginals that even the monkeys in the trees laugh at...Can you believe that they actually use Three Stooges movies as training films as to how to act. NOw the question is to post this or not to post this diatribe....does this make me seem well like I am vindictive...Naw I am gona post this...

Moneyguy1 02-21-2005 10:55 AM

Never stopped you before.......

tabs 02-21-2005 11:45 AM

The thing about the R Gruppe etall is that they have no sense of humor about themselves....which on one hand is understandable...When they say "You don't get it" they really mean that there is a deep sense of friendship in the gruppe, without the pretension of social status or wealth....they are all just equally friends...and that for them is a very solemn thing that they don't take lightly... thier attitude is this is a sacred thing that you don't joke about...in that stance they have become almost like a religion....

I understand it very clearilyand even honor the friendship aspect..but in their solemnity they have lost humility and thats where I get off the boat... They have forgoten that as humans we are less than perfect and either you cry/pray about it or you give up carrying the load (to The Christ).and accept that your never going to be perfect, in which you can then laugh at your own foilbles...either way your none the less a serious person..and thats something that the Registry forgot when they axed me...

nostatic 02-21-2005 11:58 AM

didn't jesus eat with prostitutes?

there also is a difference between humility and humiliation. Unfortuantely many westerners don't realize that.

tabs 02-21-2005 12:15 PM

I think I said somewhere...."Stupid people don't like being called stupid" refering to the Gruppe but if you read the text it is meant as a rebuke of myself... In that it was a mistake doing it with the Gruppe...

Between the Gruppe and myself it's been quid pro quo, except I don't feel humiliated because I am not PRIDEFULL and remain humbly a servant...inspite of my stance/image otherwise which is the joke I play because the load of my imperfection is so great.

BTW: we all look foolish....and to think otherwise is arrogance...
