Exclamation Jesus Christ was tortured and died because of you! Yes, you!

***You may want to copy and paste this message to a .txt file on your computer in case this thread gets deleted.

Jesus Christ was tortured and died because of you! Yes, you!

The Bible says, "For ALL HAVE SINNED, and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)

Let's see if you have ever "sinned." We will do so by looking briefly at the Ten Commandments. Have you ever told a lie? If you have, then you are a liar. Have you ever stolen something (value is irrelevant)? Then you are a thief. Jesus said if you look with lust, you have committed adultery in your heart. If you hate, then you have committed murder in your heart. Have you loved God above all else? Have you made a 'god' to suit yourself (having your own beliefs about God)? Have you used God's name to curse, kept the Sabbath holy, honored your parents, or been greedy? Judge yourself--have you broken the Ten Commandments? Knowing that God has seen your thought-life, and every deed done in darkness, will you be innocent or guilty on Judgment Day? You know you will be guilty. So, will you end up in heaven or hell? Don't look to God's "goodness" to save you from hell. If God is good, He will punish murderers, rapists, thieves and liars. He is so righteous, He will punish all sin.

The Bible also says, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5 : 8 )

The only thing you can do to be saved from His wrath, is to repent (feel remorse or be sorry for sinning) and put your faith in the Savior, Jesus Christ. When He died on the Cross, He took the punishment for our sins. He stepped into the Courtroom and paid the fine for us. Then He rose from the dead, defeating death.

This passage explains how to be saved, "For if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)

You can be saved right now and on your way to Heaven if you will open your heart to Jesus and pray the sinner's prayer out loud.

Sinner's Prayer

(Say out loud) "God, I know that I am a sinner. I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins; I believe that He was raised from the dead. I here and now accept Him as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life."

If you prayed the prayer and meant it, God heard you and has come into you. He has saved you and has given you a new life, because you've been born again and your name is written in the lamb's book of life. You are now a born again believer and a Christian son or daughter of God and you will spend eternity in heaven. Welcome to the family of God.

How To Find A Good Church

Church attendance isn't mandatory for Christians to be saved because Jesus has already given us salvation. Christians should attend church so they can worship God, fellowship with other Christians and learn more about Jesus Christ and the Holy Bible. Answering the questions below with a yes will help you find a good church to attend. Answering no to a question will help you to avoid joining a cult or a false Christian group.

1. Does someone read from the Holy Bible during each service?
2. Do they teach that Jesus Christ is God and came to earth 2000 years ago?
3. Do they teach that Jesus Christ actually died and came back to life three days later?
4. Do they teach that accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour is the only way to Heaven?
5. Do you get a chance to praise and worship God?
6. Are they actively involved in helping people get saved?

The Passion of the Christ

I highly recommend the movie The Passion of the Christ. The most realistic depiction of Jesus of Nazareth EVER! The film is done tastefully and creatively but its realism is oftentimes horrifying because of the tortures Jesus endured. The purpose is to show the extent of the sacrifice willingly made by the Son of God. You'll be forever changed after watching this movie.
** Edited **

The Passion of the Christ movie is a great tool to use to tell your family and friends about Jesus. After showing them the movie you can tell them how to accept Him as their Lord and Savior. They will be eternally grateful.

You can find other great Christian products at the links below.
** Edited **

I encourage you to pray the sinner's prayer today and secure your place in God's eternal heavenly kingdom. Don't wait till tomorrow because tomorrow is promised to no man.

May the Lord's richest blessings of grace rest on You.

My young aand naieve friend:

Jesus preached a gentle approach; not a force fed one. Frankly, you do your cause more harm than good with your approach.

There are many paths to the same goal. Do you really believe and preach that a merciful God would ban a person who had lived a good and holy life just because he or she did not believe precisely the way you do? Better return to the scriptures and not only read them but absorb them as well. Comprehension counts.

I would rather associate with someone of another faith who helped his or her fellow man than a bible thumping hell and brimstone preacher who did nothing but line their own pockets.

BELIVER18, please post Off Topic subjects in the Off Topic Forum, as you just did. These threads don't go well in Tech Forums.

Thanks!

It really, really hurts me when I see posts like this. As a Christian, I find this type of posting to be obnoxious and arrogant. I can only imagine what a non-Christian thinks.

What urks me the most is this: the way I interpret the Bible is that if I truly am a follower of Christ, the aspect of a relationship is most crucial. By relationship I mean a relationship not only with Jesus, but also a relationship with my neighbors.

In the online context, I believe I have some type of relationship with those who post here. Mr. Believer18 doesn't think this type of relationship is necessary: he just posts his 'good message' and TO HELL WITH THEM AFTER THAT! As a matter of fact, Mr. Believer18 is undermining my relationship with folks here by his actions. AND I CAN SAY ALL THIS FREELY because Mr. Believer18 will never come back to this website EVER. Actually, banning him is a moot point - I can guarantee he has no intentions of coming back here.

End rant.

I feel better now.

I don't know why you think these people are rare. Being a Jew from the south I really can't tell you how many times I've been approached with this sort of thing back home and even here in Sunny Socal. I do not hold it against the good christians and catholics who I know however.

Last but not least - why do we even reply to these trolls?

Believer had 3 posts. I wonder what his other two were?

"Are thermal reactors that bad for my 2.7?"

"Does the cool collar really cool?"

I dunno.

Is there a way of doing it without getting oneself on a christian mailing list? Will it go to this **** bird or will it be an address set up just for these types of post.

I would have no problem with a bonafide poster making this type of post, I would either discuss or ignore but I am fed up of seeing the same identical drivel continually reposted over and over again by presumably the same ****head. This kind of garbage is the best argument yet for making Pelican a members only paying forum.

I agree, but why does it tick you off so much? I only had to read the heading and knew then to ignore the post. I don't think religious dogma spewed across Pelican should entitle Pelican to start a "pay-to-play" sign-up fee.
