They are setup for a Chevy bellhousing. Not sure on pricing ..... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1109128573.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1109128595.jpg |

This is one of the the most beautiful engines anywhere: it's an Alfa Romeo from the 1988 ProCar series. Essentially, I think they lifted it from their F1 program.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1109166368.jpg And then, one of the ugliest ..... a do-it-yourself 12 cylinder! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1109166428.jpg |
...cue banjo music!...dueling engine pix! :) That's great stuff guys.

I guess if we're going to show the new M5 V10, I need to show the M3 I6!

And one with the airbox removed showing the 6 throttles of the M3 engine.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1109166884.jpg And the CSL-style carbon airbox. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1109166914.jpg |
This one is interesting. It's a 2002 IRL Indy motor converted for street use. Available from Falconer Industries.

Another candidate for most beautiful engine. This is the Honda F1 motor from the early 60's:

Don't let Darryl see those cut-away drawings. He'd have a stroke!
Very cool. I need a collection of some of these. I bet I could fit one of those tiny little F1 or IRL motors in my miata!! |

Kelly-Moss Motorsports is developing a 928 motor for racing. Apparently they plan to put it into a 944 chassis. Crazy. Here is the blurb from their website:
This power plant has been one of the top priority's at KMR for the past couple of months. The 928 engine has spent many hours in R&D to make it one of the best all aluminum V8, 4 cam, 32 valve engines ever. Along with plenty of other modifications the EFI Technology engine management, custom stainless exhaust, and individual throttle body injection make this beast roar. This 700+hp engine will definitely get some serious attention at the track. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1109262173.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1109262182.jpg |
How about a video? Check out this video of the Renault F1 engine on a dyno. If you’re quick, you can see fuel being sprayed directly into the top of the intake trumpets.
