Any idea why I can't scan docs to outlook Express, only Outlook?

That's pretty much it. I have to e-mail copies of packing lists to one of my customers everyday. I have a scanner and just scan to my e-mail as a .pdf attachment. Well it won't let me scan to Outlook express (which I prefer) but only to Outlook. So everytime I have to open a browser, goto internet options/programs/and change the default email program to Outlook rather than Express. Any idea why this is happening?

Why on earth would you use outlook express at all? It sucks goat balls.

It's simple and easy. What am I missing? I can't think of anything I would want a mail program to do that it doesn't. What do the "good" programs do?

Lendaddy - the good programs aren't easy victims for viruses, spyware and trojans.

Try either the full Mozilla suite (browser+email) or thunderbird (email only). www.mozilla.org

Ok, I have Thunderbird now:) Scanner likes it too, thanks.

Just wait until you get the junk mail controls set for your preferences... nothing quite like downloading 100+ messages just to see them all dissapear into the junk folder

Why don't you just scan all your files to a pdf file direct, save on your desktop and then you can use whatever email program you like, copy and paste the file to your email and send like a normal attachment.

Because that's one extra step. Now I just "one-button" the scanner and into a new message it goes. Sounds lazy, but when you do several every day you'll take any time saving you can get. Thanks again guys.
