dont know, im wondering that as well. cant seem to get the ghost car up. anyway, managed a 7.44.7 in the unmodified BTR...............with lots of f--k ups! (if only i could string that magic lap together.....)

Yes, the ghost car will show up automatically on your 2nd lap. Since it is a ghost of your first lap you feel like your in it and it makes it tough to see if your are just slightly behind it. It is fun to see it in the rearview mirror though:D

If you want to you can save your fastest lap from a session, and then load that as a ghost when you try again. I can't remember off hand what "icons" you have to pick to do that though.

forgot to tell everyone about my ps2 problem. it was the transformer. the shop swapped it out no probs. while i was there I got to play on an imported psp. amazing machine-massive screen, graphics are like a ps2. awesome!

In my formula GT I was able to drop my time to 5:35 from 6:35 in the CTR2...a few mistakes but that was a pretty clean lap.

7.38.5! in the BTR! well focused though, sweating and everything.

My best is 7.51 in the BTR, I cant get comfortable in that car, definitely not the Minolta....:)

Vonzipper, i was the same. couldn't get it together for ages, so i slowed down, changed up earlier and drove like i was saving the car after a big 50 lapper and it just started to happen. also, try driving the car without the traction and asm, its a proper handfull but if you can get up to speed with it switched off then you may be able to go quicker with it switched back on.

Sorry guys, I was at that joke of a race this weekend. I've been to all six and while I will still always watch on TV I won't be back to Indy. IMS kept everyone in the dark at the track. They didn't say a single thing all Sunday about the tire situation until the Michelin cars started coming into the pits. Very irritating.

Hey Carl, sorry to hear about the bad deal at USGP! I would have been so bummed. Anyway, one thing that our little spec series is teaching me is once again, SMOOTHNESS is key. Tonight I couldn't get away from 7:51's. Finally I just told myself to calm down and stop driving like a spaz. I just concentrated on hitting all the apexes of the corners, rather then throwing the car into a wild drift, standing on it and trying to set the world on fire. This is not the RUF Faszination video, and that video doesn't dictate the fast line around the 'Ring. So, after calming down, I was back in the 49's. Not stellar, but a great illustration on smooth driving for me. So back to work. Damn 7:19, Carl:D

My first lap was a 7:39 with a few offs until I got the feel for the car...low 7 high 6 is possible on the game. ;)

I ran GT last night and it was about the same, until I threw a set of soft race tires on and pulled a 7:16. Big difference with good tires!

:D Smooth is key, for me anyway. Make sure you pick the soft tires, medium is the default I think. Of course I probably should not be giving any advice based on my slowness, but as I run more I see all the places I am losing time.

Anyone try the lift before the apex of the corner and then hammer down thru the corner?? only to make sure you chase the rear end

i use lift off oversteer on a good few corners to pull the nose in-works real well on the few corners before the first straight
