I'd like to post a video of a lap but how on earth would you capture it directly off the screen? I don't have a camcorder.

ill send you my memory card and you can save a ghost replay for me to chase!

ah ha! That's an interesting idea. I wonder if there's an attachment for the mem card to pc. Then you could just send them over the internet...

well, i can use my ps2 online.........wonder if its possible..........ill look into it!

The SharkPort allows you to transfer game saves to your PC. I think the saved replays come up as separate files, but I don't know of a way to make them into an mpeg or simular file.

ok guys I did 3 laps tonight in Arcade mode and could not better 7:35.245

This weekend at the ring I had a true scare as I spun at about 100 kmh or so leaving the brunchenn (spelling?) corner! I kept the car on the track but damn that was not expected.

hmm...Im starting to feel a little better about things now K9 and Carl are struggling!

im using the logitec driving force pro. it was designed in conjunction with the game and its top quality. the feedback is so good its tiring to use! pedals are nice and progressive.

I'm using the controller.

i was using the controller on all the previous games, then a mates wife (who works for top gear) blagged a seat and wheel. brilliant. it made the whole experience so much more real. so I went that route when GT4 arrived. maybe I should try the controller.......maybe thats the key!

I almost bought the GT4 wheel but then I realized I'd be paying almost $400 to play a single game!

good point Carl, but you can use the steering wheel for other titles. I plugged it into my laptop the other night and XP recognised it and let me use it on liveforspeed(.net)

Or you go the cheaper route. I picked up one of these for about $40.
The feedback is pretty good, it only turns 180° lock to lock, but that is fine for living room racing. :)

I only have about 10 full laps on this track, and it was in different cars so I'll be happy if I dip under 9min in the stock BTR, but I'll give it a shot. I never knew it's possible to change tires in arcade mode.... do you also have to buy them?

dave, you just need to select sport soft tyres before you race.

I will also make some time tonight to improve on my lap times (I hope)...no better way to spend a Saturday night at home.

its amazing how you can find a little here, a little there and really make a difference to your lap time. im confident i can go faster, its just having the time to try! strange that for me most of my improvements have been in the first couple of laps of trying.

Scott, work your magic with the stats-ive just run a 7.33.02 and it was scrappy! i made ALL my time up round the twisties before the straight (you know, all them bastard 3rd into 2nd off camber swines) and Im pretty sure i can find anther second and a half!

Good Job Andy...I have been busy with yardwork this weekend but I have managed to get in a lap or two during the breaks. I just can't get below the 7:35 mark...and I agree the big time location is through the first section (schikane). The other section to make up some time is after the karussell, I think I need to go ahead and have some off track time because doing it clean just turns 7:35 lap after lap.

the trouble's out at some mother and baby thing tonight-Im gonna hit it hard for a good two hours and see if I can beat Carl........Im feeling good.....
