Ultimate GT4 Nurburgring hot lap thread!
 

the title of the thread says it all. no other tracks, no other games, just GT4 and the nurburgring circuit. no restrictions on cars/setup. And no fibbing about your times either-you may get asked to prove it with a picture!
the game is out so get your backsides into gear and post your best times.

Andy Johnson, click here and have a sniff about, i think that they have listed all the tracks somewhere. its the offical site for the game with some downloads too. they did have a video clip of the ring a while ago but im not sure if its been replaced.

Now is this with traction control and stability management OFF? I've been running the RUF sans any driver aids and, although an initial handful, it's a sheer joy once you get the hang of it!
I won't even post my 'ring lap time; there's enoguh humor in OT as it is.
Anyone do the same in the 427 Cobra? Good fun!

you can use traction/stability if you want but i found that i could go quicker without it in GT3. Oh and Paul, post that lap time!

What mode are you in? Arcade, Grand Turismo Time Trial? IE: How do I get to the track?

Z, I believe in the Simulation/Career mode, it's available at all times. Just head to the left, for World Tracks and the 'Ring will be there.

Once I have enough $$, I'll be learning the 'Ring exclusively w/ the BTR and Yellowbird. Stock.

I was too busy last night trying to progress in the game, got 1st place on all the Sunday Cup races with my first car, a Boxter. Will try Nurburgring tonight.

BTW - Found that using the Logitech Pro wheel on GT4 better then the analog joystick last night, unlike in GT3 the joystick was better for me.

I went through Arcade mode; there was too much going on lastnight and I just wanted to get in and drive (so to speak). I was quite surprised how fun Arcade mode was (I was a simulator 'snob' in GT3). I plan to get into sim mode this weekend, [I]then[I] I'll post my 'ring time, Andy.

dammit I may get to play it tonight...

my oldest son picked it up yesterday
the ring seems about 12 ft more narrow than the track is on the other game
but the cars (and trucks) are more responsive
