hotmail

Is it just me, or has hotmail been particularly worthless over the past month or so? It seems like 50% of the time there is some major problem that either prevents me from logging in at all ("this service is temporarily unavailable") or it is so slow / buggy that it is worthless (hanging up when sending mail, some weird display issue where the tables get all screwed up & all text appears in a big goofy courier font).

I have these problems w/ both IE & Mozilla.

Looks like after 7 years my hotmail account is going to be abandoned. :)

Don't get rid of it!

I still have my original hotmail account from 8 years ago...back before they were picked up by Microsoft. I use this account as my Utility Account. Whenever I have to register on a new site, or something like that, this is the address they get.

If they're going to send me a bunch of junk e-mails, just for logging into their site, they'll all get deleted along with the rest of the 40 or 50 or so I get there each day. Saves having to filter through it for one that I'm looking for. Heck, I'm pretty sure no one I know even knows that address anymore. :D

Yup, I've seen the same thing. Seems to have coincided with their new policy allowing much more storage to free accounts. Like Randy, I only use my account for crap that I don't want anyway.

I guess I should post a few more gmail invites for y'all then?

Got one of them, too. Just haven't figured out what I want to do with it.

I have 50 invites left if anyone needs one. Gmail allows you to check it with a pop client also.

I have gmail as well, although have only just started switching over. Good call on the junk account- I'll hold on to it for that reason.
