WRC: 2005 Swedish Rally
Nothing like a rally in the snow. Check out the studded snow tires.

Probably old news, but the 2004 highlight videos are incredible. Check out the first two (DanDigiMan and Pou)... AWESOME!

Excellent Allen, thanks for the link. I already had Pou's videos for 2001, 2002, and 2003.

I think those are old pics. I watched the 2005 Sweden Rally (on tv :)) and there was hardly any snow on the ground, much less in the air. It was actually a big problem because the studs in the tires kept bending and breaking on the frozen gravel.
Maybe I'm just thinking of the wrong race. |
Thanks for the links!
If anyone needs help with translations for the RallyAlbum page, let me know - it's in Hungarian. :D -Z. |
WRC is fast replacing F1 as my fav' motorsport. Thank you SpeedTv !!! Then again F1 started well this year ;-)
Those guys have Talent with a capital T. Their car control is unbelievable, and they do it surrounded by trees, ravines, or sheer rock. A friend of mine got a promotional ride with Carlos Sainz a couple years ago and swore it was terrifyingly fun ! PS: To get a real idea of the difficulty leve, buy Richard burns Rally (available online at gogamers.com - I don't think it's widely distributed in the US ) and a steering wheel/pedal. Enjoy ! This ain;t Collin Mcrae on a playstation ;-) |
