Chicago Pelicans - concert...
Hey guys just wanted to say that i'm performing on a friends concert series of the Fine Arts Music Society of Chicago. A group of Northwestern Music School Alumni including myself and many other great prize-winning musicians are putting on a great chamber music concert at the Fine Arts Building downtown.
Where: Curtis Hall - Fine Arts Building 410 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL When: Sunday, March 13th, 5pm What: Brahms Violin Sonata, Beethoven String Trio Op. 9 No. 2, World Premiere of Charlie Williams "KING/FBI", and the always crowd pleasing Schubert Cello Quintet in C major. Tickets: $20 / $7.50 for students / NU Students free I would love for any of you guys who love classical music to try and come by. I'm very excited to be back in chicago performing great music with my fellow alumni and know that there are probably some pelicans that would really enjoy it! Your premiere piece caught my eye, as I hadn't heard of Charlie Williams (I'm a composer myself), so I checked out his website, and could even download the score of the piece you're premiering (I play violin). Looks like a cool piece! Can't remember the last time I saw an gov't memo as the intro to a piece of new music.

Hey thanks for the reply! Yes, that piece is actually very cool and Charlie Williams is doing quite a variety of music these days. Too bad you are so far away and can't make the concert.
