"Meet the Parents" Actress Dies @ age 30

Wow, talk about a misdiagnosis. Sent home from the hospital twice, first with Tylenol then with antibiotics. Third visit was the last. Very disheartining.

. . . and the hospital will be sure to get paid for those visits.

. . . so they can settle without admitting fault. (and pretend every thing is okay)

geez, so sad. These hospitals need signs above the door: 2¢ worth for only $2,000

. . I suppose that's pretty much what the fine-print already says.

That's sad, whether you thought she was hot or not. To misdiagnose Pnueumonia??? Uh, where did these folks go to medical school? Grenada?

Well the hospital did give her antibiotics, and most pneumonia is bacterial. Viral pneumonia is usually not as severe. There was probably some other unknown health condition. Regardless of all that it is still very sad.

I was misdiagnose with Pnueumonia, they told me I had a cold. It was when I worked at GE and it was a corp doc in the plant. Went on an awrds trip down to Panama City FLA the nest day (with her OK). Withing 14 hours I was admitted into the hospital there with severe Pnueumonia in both lungs and Plurise (sp), an infection of the lung lining. I was in for 8 days, CAT scans everyday, IVs with super doses of antibiotics, moriphine drip, daily vists by the hospital chaplin (did they know something they wern't sharing?) They ended up driving neddles the size of thin pens into my lungs to pull the junk out - that was pleasent!

I should have sued GE. I would be on the Lamborghini site as we speak!

My brother died a few years ago from pneumonia. He was in the hospital for a few days, then they sent him home. He passed away in his sleep the next night.

I was 35 when I was admitted - the docs took it real serious, so much so, they had GE fly my wife (then my GF down). They scared the heck out me - telling me that people die of this everyday, mostly old but some young. I have had it twice since. Every winter I get an upper res infection that needs serious anti-bio's.

Wow, that's serious if they flew in both your wife and your g/f, although it could get a little uncomfortable if one didn't know about the other...

...ah...BTDT, about 10 years ago I was given an oral med for a severe case of Athletes Foot. Griseofulvin, a few days later after several visits back to the Medical office (oh you're catching a cold, or its the flu going around), I went into anaphalactic shock...flat-lined in ICU. One week in a private room and sympathic cute RNs.

Two weeks later the ER doctor tells me "Bob if you would have come in 30 mins later, I wouldnt have been able to save ya..." I truly didnt know what was happening at the time. My ex GF drove me the hospital otherwise I would have just stayed in bed...(permanently)...things didnt work out between her and I, but if it wasnt for her...
