LeMans Movie

Wow. I wanted to see it, but they didn't have it at blockbuster. I snapped and went to MediaPlay and bought it.

I don't know what the name of it is, but the Porsche race cars in that movie are SICK. I want one. I want my car to sound like that.

I want to live that movie. If you haven't seen it, see it. Oh- Ferrari loses

Are you talking about Lemans with Steve Mcqueen?

Yes indeed. All I can hear in my head today is the roar of those cars. The crash scenes are cinematic genius. Why can't hollywood get it together and drop the computer generated garbage and make a real crash like that?

yes it is a fun movie... as long as you're interested in cars. If you could care less about cars, it is a boring, boring ride.

Interesting snippet. When Steve McQueen filmed the low shots in some of the racing scenes he almost had his head squished by one of the Porsche drivers - actual Porsche racing driver Derek Bell. I believe he said something like "Who was that bloody idiot on the track - I almost killed him!"

Purchased the movie at "Best Buy", got the last one - they said no more were to be ordered ($11.00).

Watched it with the home theater set up at high volume, the wife went up stairs and locked her in the bedroom until the film was over. Great movie, a little on the short side – can’t believe no one here bothered to tell me about the peripheral benefits.

Ok, question. I had never seen the move before I purchased the DVD. In the scene where the race is beginning and in the crash scene does the picture pause for a few seconds or is that my DVD or player? I've always been curious. TIA.

I'm not sure, and before I play it again I have to make sure my wife is out of the house.

There were a few still's and flashes back to action in the film.

Check for finger prints on the disk before assuming it's the machine.

The pauses are intentional -- do not attempt to adjust your set

I just saw the movie for the first time this past weekend. What a rush! the speeds of the 917's while going down the back straight passing the camera with only inches to spare was amazing. mmmmm the sounds!

I give it 2 thumbs up!

Speedy

I rented it from Netflix the online movie rental.
