Power Caulking gun question

I have a lot of caulking to do on my house and my hands are killing me from using this caulking gun. There has to be a better way.

I searched and found some power caulking guns. There are both electric and pneumatic versions. The pneumatic is reasonable at around $30. The electric are rechargeable and run well over $200. I was considering the pneumatic version.

Do these caulking guns work well? Has anyone ever used one of these? Anybody own one? Opinions? Help?

Thanks,
Rob

What type of caulk are you using?
What type of gun are you using?

Typically your fingers get sore from tooling the joint. If the caulk gun is hurting your hand - try a different brand of caulk along with a very high quality standard gun with some built in leverage control.
With the right caulk and the right gun there should be no need for power caulking tools unless your using a Urethane joint sealant for concrete, etc.

get a better caulk gun, or get rid of girly hands. :)

Sherwin Williams or any quality paint store (not Home Deep****) have nice dripless-style caulk guns that are a pleasure to use.

I am using a paintable Silicone (Silicone 2?" in a standard caulking gun. I compared my gun to the others available at Lowes and Home Depot and they all seemed to have about the same amount of leverage.

Maybe I'll try a different brand of caulk. Guess I have girly hands now from not enough "real" work. I may have to go to a real paint store for comparison. It was about 60 degrees that day. Maybe I should try warming the caulk first.

Thanks,
Rob
