Terri Schiavo passes

Just reported:

http://www.cnn.com/2005/LAW/03/31/schiavo/index.html

No matter where you stand on this issue, she is in a better place now and with the Lord.

Very sad... An innocent woman was starved to death today; the left should be proud.

She seems to have been a troubled person before the coma. It was her bulimia that led to a heart attack. Very, very sad. RIP.

I can't believe she lasted 12 days without water. I always heard one could only go 3-4 days.

I'm wondering how the husband will be treated going forward. I think he's in for some rough roads.

Give it another week, nobody is gonna remember anything.
Thousands of families go through this every day without the media zoo.

OJ is innocent
Scott is guilty
Blake is innocent.

The courts/justice system gets it right about 33% of the time, yep, that's about right.

Did you guys hear the wife on Everyboy Loves Raymond? She went on and on about how she could never kill a human being regardless of there conditions. The fact that she even opened her mouth makes me sick. Glad she didn't get her way and I will never watch that show again. Rest in Peace Terri.

I'm glad she finally got what she wanted: not to live (exist) like that.

"this tragedy " happened back at the first legal appeal to the husbands (/his wifes) decision.

Well, ya, dd, we can keep on going back ... stroke from heart attack, from low potasium, from bulimia, from feelings of guilt, depression, from . . .(?)

Where did the tragedy start? My opinion is noted above.

Everyone dies. Is every death a tragedy?

What I really don't understand, in all of this, is how the religious right can be so terribly upset about this outcome.

That is; Heaven vs. Trapped in a body with zero motor-skills . . no communications . . doesn't even get to taste food.

A fifteen year sentence. . .trapped! -- isn't that enough? Or is the idea of "Gods Plan" so much worse?

Island, do you think she was experiencing pain?

I'm not trying to be a smartass, I'm just wondering if you guys think she could experience emotions even though she would be mostly unable to express them to others.

Blame it in large part on advancements in medical science. One hundred years ago it would not have been an issue. Medical ethics has a long way to go before it catches up with available technology.

As for the left being proud, bryan... there is enough bad behavior to go around. When you are a bit "more seasoned" you might just find that the world is a pallette of colors, not just black and white.

A soul trapped in limbo for fifteen years....How sad....
