Spy ware software

I have been using Adware, but not happy with it, what other software are available for getting this junk on my computer?

Spybot comes highly recommended. It should be run in conjunction with ad-aware. They both pick up stuff the other will miss.

I was a firm believer in running Spybot and Ad-aware until Microsoft's Antispy came out. It's still a beta, but very stable. You can find it on Microsoft's site of course.

I had good results using spybot and ad-aware

I run a-squared Starcentre as well - another free one.

SpySweeper is one of my favorites. As mentioned it takes more than one product to keep clean.

I have been testing different programs for anti spyware for a while now and i have found that the Microsoft one doesn't pick up much at all, spybot and adaware are the best combo punch that works for free, but the best consistant hit so far has been a new ad on module for McAfee antivirus.. it's an active scanner and is manageable via ePO (McAfee network management), it's intergrated with the anti-virus (so less apps running) and when i do a pass with it, i find no additional issues with spybot or adaware so it is getting everything where as if i run it after spybot and adaware i do find issues so it is also getting more than the other two combined. i'm very impressed with it.

I have tested many of the anti-spyware products out there for my employer and the best I've found is Microsoft's product, which is available for free from their website.

Another kudos for Bill Gates' team.
Microsoft antispyware seams to be doing great. I have been using Ad-aware, Spybot and Spyblaster for quite a while now and have since switched to a Ad-aware, Spyblaster and Microsoft combo.
