But I Thought He Merely Forgot They Were In His Sock?
Ex-National Security Adviser to Plead Guilty to Taking Classified Docs
WASHINGTON — For months, he called it an honest mistake. But on Friday, Sandy Berger will plead guilty to a misdemeanor in federal court. Berger, who served as President Clinton's national security adviser, is acknowledging that it wasn't an honest mistake and that he intentionally took and destroyed copies of the classified documents from the National Archives and cut them up with scissors. The rest of the story. Randy |

The guy admits to breaking the law and destroying government documents and gets his security clearance revoked for 3 measly years?!? What's a guy got to do to have it revoked permanently for chrissake? Will we ever know whose handwritten comments were on the documents he destroyed? JP |
His clearance should be revoked permanently. That's what would happen to us. No matter which political party, I am always leery of what administration people claim not to have done or to have done in the interests of the country.
Of course, he might follow the lead of others and get a commentator job. It's amazing what getting a conviction will do for one in Washington. |

Some things are meant to remain mysteries, I guess. |
So will Hillary "find" the missing documents next time she cleans house? I wonder what was in them. I'm pretty sure we will never find out. At least he didn't have to murder an aid to steal them.
|
Again w/ the red herrings, Thom?
Just get one new trick... please. Enough w/ the relativist .. and usually wildly speculative .. excusing of malfeasance. It's so tired. JP |

wow. Reminds me of all the Republican email 6 years ago. More hate and lies than I could ever imagine. thanks |
In the interest of non-partisanship and equal time, Sandy "the burgler" Berger gets my 1st annual "Democrat assclown/criminal" award. He should be getting his room and board paid by the Federal govt. for the next three years, not his security clearance temporarily suspended.
That said, Cheney should be getting his ass reamed by a very large cellmate for the next 300 years. |

We all know that there is little justice in this world but what happened here really shows it. If any of us had gone into a secure area and "forgotten that I have classified materials in my clothes" and walked out, we would be in the house of doors for 20-40 years! JoeA |
i wonder if i will hate on W five years after he's out of office? enough to post things like that above.
i think i will just spend my day's reveling in the fact that i toiled under W for 8 years and i am done with him. condi, jed, ot jeb whatever george's tool of a brother's name down in floriduhhh could be next, but could they be worse? really how could they? |

I think a few things should be clear.
Post cold war strategic policy is being redefined for at least the next 20yrs, probably 50, no matter who's Pres. We are also economically worldwide connected, no matter who's Pres. We are involved in economic warfare with China, no matter who's Pres.. India is more complicated. Most political parties have extremists. and about Bush personally. He's a political crap game winner. He's playing chess. Steps enough in advance to keep chipping away. His latest routine on SS is mostly a diversion in order to distract the US from him getting everything he wants in his tax policy. The SS move is a win win even if not much happens on his watch. He opened the SS door at the Dem's expense. Tax policy + SS door opened = win win meanwhile, Hillary will fix everything when she's Pres. http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/fles.gif |
Ron,
If Hilary is even close to being elected, we may see our next Presidental shooting. There are enough people around here who hate the biatch more than enough to pull the trigger on her. Take the way that people feel about W, multiply it by several thousand and this is the way most people outside of NY feel about her. Bush is the first President to have the guts to tackle something that needed reforming for 30 years. Johnson took the SS money to fund the war in Vietnam, when it should have been locked away for all of our retirement. No one since had the balls to do what MUST be done and thats reform the retirement system. JoeA |
Actually Kerry probably could have gotten himself shot as well. There was probably enough hate there to lead to Swift justice. :)
He is a bigger target too. |
Hillarys skelton in the closet is her Lesbianism....if that EVER comes out she is done for!
She HAS to win relection in 2006 to be a viable presidential canidate...You needa track record of more than 1 election to get the nod... Whether you like it or not...Bush was FORCED to deal with the ME, and he has taken the bull by the horns and has done something different in the region...which even ole RR didn't do...but times and priorities change... |
The Democratic party has been eclisped much like the Repblican party was in the 1930's...they lost relevance and it took until 1980 for the resergence of the party...the pendlum is now swinging right...
|
I wouldn't mind it if the country swung to the right in some areas, and left in others, like protecting the environment. What is right-wing about the current deficit/devalued dollar/bogus war for corporate profiteering by friends of the President, etc..?? It just seems corrupt to me, not "right".

Curious how some suggest shooting. Liberal extremists throw pies, right wing extremists shoot people. And you think you have the moral high ground, puuuuhlease!
