Porsche at Felders in Hermosa?

Anyone know what happened to the Porsche that was at Felders on PCH in Hermosa? It had been there for years and then just disappeared. Just wondering...

Are you talking about that really old one...I think it was painted Green, that sat in the window there?

What the heck is Felders anyway? A bodyshop? Do they sell those cars in the window?

The green 912?

I drive by every morning and look into that window from time to time... I noticed the 912 was parked outside earlier this week...can't remember the day... I just recall seeing outside... That's wierd that you posted about it... that was the first time I've seen it parked outside...

As for what the building is... well.. beats me... But there is a sign that says 'bodyshop'...

I always think of it as classsic car storage for the gentleman or woman that owns that building...

Who knows...

I live right down the street from Felders. Payed a visit to the guy a few years back ( I forgot his name). What he did was car restoration. At the time he was semi retired or retired. Started out restoring cars as a hobby and turned it into a business. He turned me onto my first Porsche by recommending a car down the street that a local mechanic was working on. It was 73 T MFI that they couldn't seem to get to run. The mechanic was all to happy to effect the sale from the owner and I purchased the car for a song. With the help of this board I got it running, basically restored the car myself and ended up selling the car to somebody in Belgium. Found another project, half of the fun for me is working on them as well as driving them.

I bought the orange 1968 912 from Felder that was sitting in the gated lot next to the bug. It was a parts car for his beige one but he didn't need it any more.

I saw the car today. It appears to be road worthy now or someone had it outside of the garage...
