yeah Cam, not only do you have to anticipate the “Zero, One, two step aheaders” but you have to anticipate what others think of others thinking. . .. and guesstimate that average.

And, you should have known, based on past experience here, that there would be a few who sped-read the post. . . .but would respond anyway.

... Not that I would ever do that.;)

Yeah, I reckon those posting without thinking (usually my forte) would have driven up the average - a smarter man than me takes that into account.

I wonder what it was excluding the >50... the obvious group of post no think.

You'd also have to figure in guys like me, who couldn't possibly give a rat's petut about "winning." I simply picked a number I like, which coincidentally relates to my profession, but had nothing to do with the contest. It was a very freeing exercise, for me -- liberation from concepts like "winning" and "losing" has changed my life. ;)

I'm the ner do well and I picked four.....That was the first number that popped into my brain....no rhyme, no reason just four....didn't even think or really even care that I would be close... I knew the number would have to be higher, but to be hosnest didn't even think about it...

Like I said Machivelli has nothin on me.....

I participated in a similar excercise in a management training seminar. As the excercise was repeated, more and more people got the hang of it and the numbers started getting closer and closer. I don't remember what the point of it was as I was assisting the trainer and not one of the trainees;)
