strange police work.
 

i just got back from my asia trip. jet lag = no sleep, so i am typing and surfing away.

i was listening to a new story in in taiwan. my girlfriend's dad was interpreting., i wish i could hear it firsthand, but here is the gist of it;

some rich girl disappears, police search, but nothing turns up. her two best friends go to sleep for the night, and in their dreams, the dead girl's (remember, no-one know she is dead yet) ghost gives them a visit. she explains to her buddies that she is dead, and was murdered. she also went into detail explaining that her remains can be found in the truck of a car. and where the car was parked. both girls wake up, and they run to the police. both girls have the same dream! the police investigate and WOW! the body is right where the ghost said! both girls were shown crying and are heralded as heroes.

i am 99% positive that in the U.S. both girls would be prime suspects. i couldnt jump up and call BS, because jen's mom just got done telling me of her nieces "third eye" who was the exact family we were visiting when i heard the news story. i couldnt roll my eyes or anything because the entire family believes this stuff. the niece is this cute as a button 16 year old that uses lines like, " i see dead people" which taiwanese folks call the third eye. she has described her grandfather without seeing pictures, stuff like that. meeting her, she doesnt strike me as a liar. my vacation has been without boredom.

maybe a taiwan pelican can chime in, and tell me they were pulling my chain? this story was three or four days ago.

Man, you got to get some sleep.

BTW, it's 0432 in SoCal. But I am in TelAviv, where it is 1432.

Heck ya, they'd be hauled in for questioning here in the US. Most Americans don't believe in psychics. UFOs, Loch Ness Monster and Bigfoot yes, but not psychics.

A woman sharing her third eye ain't all bad, maybe it runs in the family?

A friend of mine who just got back from the Philippines told me that one of the most popular TV shows is a karaoke program where you sing to the program. When each song is over, it displays a score. He said the people actually believe that it's their score!
