Parent Divorces Child

Had another interesting conversation with my 6yr old son today - he asked about a buddy of ours who is divorced, what it was all about, then asked if Mommies and Daddies could divorce their kids...could be feeling bad about something he did that I havent found out about yet? Back on topic:

Interesting...I have heard that kids have divorced their parents, has it ever gone the other way?

offer $5k/mo x20yrs 365/yr to a Monk sanctuary in Tibet. It'll be cheaper in the long run.

Ha Ha, better listen to Ronin, Mike. I was "blessed" by having 2 girls, and as luck would have it, I got to pay for two Weddings in 13 months ! I am still wobbling from that one. It doesn't even have to be Tibet, either ! Doug

Thats funny! He actually didn't end up doing anything bad - I think he got a hint that nothing is forever, including some families. I reassured him that we would all stay together through thick and thin.

As far as the money, them kids are worth their weight in gold...the only reason I work!

I like that idea!

"listen here, ya little *****! either you behave yourself or I'm divorcing you! and I'm gonna make sure the attorney gets me ALL your toys!"

LOL!

I put it to him this way today (with momma in ear shot): Ok lil buddie, I'm like a tractor and Mommy is the farmer. You have to treat the tractor good right? You have to take care of the tractor and make sure it can do its job real well everyday or the tractor will break down and the farmer can't do any work and she will not have any money to buy food or toys are pay for the car or house then they take it all away!
So if you want this tractor to keep on working hard you can't stree it out. You have to do good things and not be bad or the tractor will breakdown and it might not be able to work anymore.

Thats was a shot accross Mommy's bow that earned me a lil sump'n sump'n!
