Heater Controls Help

Can someone enlighten me on what these controls actually do?
Thanks.
Dave.

The front two levers control the intensity of the fuel, exhaust, and burnt oil smell in the cabin.

The dial is a way to see if the reeds in the heater control relay have become magnetized and ineffective. Success is indicated by the way the foot well blowers never operate.

funny response LOL

the lever on the right controls the "flapper box" which has connected to it the hoses coming from the heat exchangers and going to the footwell blowers, there is a cable attatched which pulls open flapper.
there is also a switch which turns on the blowers which should turn the blowers on when you start to pull the levers up.
the heated air comes from the heat exchangers which is why you get the funny smells if something is amiss, so the above post by rick is kinda accurate
