Err, that ain't gaudy. It's functional.
And an engineer's dream. :D I question the sexual orientation of any man who choses that flashy two-tone travesty of a Rolex over the technological sophistication represented by the Breitling. |
Ive got an engineering degree and I still get dizzy when I look at he dial of a Brietling. Way too much going on there.
I also dont own a two-tone watch. I wear a titanium wedding band, but thats as fancy as I get. The only reason its titanium is becuase I cant find one in stainless steel. gratuitous pic of an old tool watch and a Randall Model 1 so I can feel better about my questioned manhood :) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1104209971.jpg Now where are my watch and custom gun pics.....stay tuned |
Wow! Another OT watch thread!
Speaking of Sinn - here's my latest "acquisition". A Sinn Flieger with Valjoux 7750 movement and sapphire crystal. iIm wearing it all the time now. Its approx 38 x 13mm, a good size for me. I put a matching steel bracelet on mine. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1113286566.jpg |
Oh dear - you got me looking at watches again!

The Seiko Kinetic I have is titanium--nice but dings very easily. And of course it's dead due to my bizarre electrical aura... Longines briefly made an automatic polished titanium chrono. Their "Op(p?)osition", I think. Very nice-looking but I worried about the finish and my penchant for bashing into things. |
I'd rather have the Randall than a Rolex...:)

Tom,
How much for the Sinn? Looks very nice... A Randall (or a nice .45 auto) WITH a Rolex is even better! :) JoeA |
JoeA:
I got mine lightly used off Ebay for around $1,000 with the leather strap; new it would cost around $1,450 (with the acrylic vice sapphire crystal it would be about $200-$250 less). I put a matching satin stainless steel bracelet on mine and that added another $225. I bought the Sinn bracelet off watchbuys.com. |
