Sonic's Tax Tips #187: Claim a Section 179 and depreciation deduction on the Porsche. Find a way to work it in as a business expense.
Sonic's Tax Tips #190: Save the receipts on repairs for the Porsche. Deduct these too, along with oil and gas.

Taxes in general suck a$$ - what sucks even more is when the tax collector send you the wrong bill - you pay it and then they refund the money to the previous owner.
Their mistake though - I still got my money back. Idiots...

Try being self employed. Tax season is then 4 times per year, and you pay double social security. Ahhhh retirement...it's soo much better!

8pm ... april 13th... i break away from 1040, 1065, 1120S, returns to see various "tax" related threads on Pelican.... bummer...maybe a sign? not much sleep lately... definitely none tonight...

just finished, including my 3 kids because they have jobs and school.
my effective tax rate was 13.65% for the Fed, 5% for the State - not quite as low as George W or John K, but I don't have all those tax shelters And why does the State return take twice as many forms as Fed?
