I went, and it was GREAT!!! Haven't been in a decade. It's much better organized now.
The 'crowd favorite' was the 'drift challenge,' with talented drifters sliding all over the track and smoking tires like there was no tomorrow. Several came from Japan, where I hear the 'sport' is far more developed. I also enjoyed the fighter jet (F-18?) flyover. Amazing! |

Milt,
I was there on Friday. Didn't see you. Great day. Does the celebrity race really draw that many people? I'm not into pop culture so I didn't recognize many of the drivers. Besides, I didn't buy a ticket to necessarily see Carl Malone, Frankie Munoz or Meat Loaf (with all due respects) dogging it around the course. I'd rather see pro/vintage drivers competing in the Toyotas - sorta like a mini-IROC for the weekend. However, the Friday passes were free. Sherwood |

That picture almost looks like its a toy or model car. I saw the race on TV and would have sure liked to be there. Perhaps I'll see them in Toronto later on this year.
