That is freakin' hilarious, you have to admit. It's like that car carries around its own street underneath it.

Looks like a cross between Pokemon, Transformers and Godzilla! What kind of drugs cause people to do this?

As long as I live, I will never understand why some people will spend ludicrous amounts of money to destroy a perfectly good family car, enough money that would easily put them into something faster, better designed, more reliable, more etc etc etc and doesn't make them look like a loser.

A girl who works at my office drives a Neon with shaved door handles and painted flames... Her dad did all of the customization. She told me that this summer her father is going to move the engine to the rear of the car. I thought she was joking - she had a few too many at the party - but she insisted he was really going to make a rear engined, front wheel drive custom for her. (Anyone seen the Red Green episode with the Pinto?)

Anyway, I just sent her the link for 'inspiration' for the project.

"....her father is going to move the engine to the rear of the car. I thought she was joking... "

It might be easier if her father just swapped the sheet metal end-for-end and figured out how to drive the car with one forward gear and 4 reverse gears.

That's pretty close to Red Green's solution. As I recall, he turned the seats around, mounted an old cable steering system from a boat where the back seat used to be (with the cables attached to the old steering wheel), rigged-up a boat throttle control connected to the old gas pedal, and just to keep with the nautical theme, carried an anchor in lieu of brakes...

You've perhaps heard the expression, "That car stops like somebody threw out an anchor?"
