Baa BAAHHH BA Thats Sheep for....

Naw...I know what your thinking that this thread is going to be something lewd and lavicious....

Sorry to disappoint....The title of this thread refers to the fact that Americans are nothing but SHEEP....being led to Gawd nose where....

Anyway ....here it is....The Bush Administration is well aware what of what energy costs are....oil in the high $50 a barrel range....they know what the effect on the economy will be...

They have wanted something that they havn't gotten....and they have been patiently waiting for the American people to start to HOWL about the cost of a gallon of gas...to feed those SUV's we are all so fond of....

Very shortly Americans are going to start to demand that the Alaskan Refuge be opened up for exploration and that envirnomental standards be eased so that new oil refinerys be built ...... when that happens guess what is going to happen...the price of oil will go down probably into the mid $30 a barrel range....

Baaaa Baaaa Bahhha....thats sheep for Baby you look so fine....

You/we are all a bunch of fking SHEEP....all you have to do to get Americans to sell their first born child is to make something they are addictied to cost more...

Like I said threaten to take away your SUV and you will cut off your left nut to keep it...

Meanwhile, Toyota can't build enough hybrids. Used Prius hybrids are selling for $5K higher than new ones off the lot. So Americans are paying for their gas addiction, but complaining less than taking an approach to dealing with it. Not exactly sheep as much as schools of fish.

You know who'll suffer with this crunch? The American car manufacturers who poo-poo the idea of hybrids.

Tabs - you're wrong. You can take my SUV and I'll live just fine without it. You can't take my choice on where to live away though - that's why I'm in CA...if all that mattered was family I'd have a couple of acres in the middle of the country where I could afford to live on one income.

Seriously...GM posted a MULTI BILLION DOLLAR LOSS and blamed it on health care and unions.

American car manfg is going down the tubes, for sure. Check out any issue of a car magazine -- there's no creativity, there's nothing new, there's no new genius. One recent article showed a picture of a grey 4-door sedan, looking for all the world like every other grey 4-door family car that has ever darkened the doorway of any American home. The headline read: "Detroit's bold new move," or some similar drivel. Bold? New? American car manufacturers haven't seen bold and new in so long they've completely forgotten what they look like.

:disgusted:

dd- you hit the nail on the head. The SUV crazy has propped up the US auto industry for the last 10 years.. These things are going out of fashion and Detroit is going to take a big hit. The cheap gas was not going to last and now they are left with nothing..

A friend of mines wife just bought a Precis from Crown Toyota in SO CA .for well under list price....he'd be the last person I would think of to buy a hybrid car...

I personally like a Full sized PU as my daily vehicle...but here in LV I average about 500 miles a month...there is no where to go here...except to and from the buffet line...

Agreed. I'd definitely trust a full-sized PU over a Prius when faced with a full-sized soccer mom's full-sized cell phone against her full-sized face when paying more attention to her massage appointment more than her full-sized Hummer that's about to put the full-sized T-bone hurt on one's pint-sized hybrid.

I was riding my bike on the fwy today, and next to me is an H2. My gawd, what is the frickin' point? Could it be any bigger and more useless? It is a joke. I mean, how small can a guy's penis get?

Well...that's no fun.

I hear that by adding 22" wheels to an H2 your penis actually inverts.
