Mercedes 190 SL engine rebuilder in San Fran Bay area?

A lister on another board is looking for a reputable engine rebuilder in the Bay area. Any suggestions from my California brethren?

Car is a MB 190 SL.

Check with Alan at The Stable. Don't know if he does Mercedes, but he does do 356s/912s/etc. and if nothing else should be able to make a good recommendation for you.

I'd look for someone with a good rep doing motor work and not worry so much about experience with that particular motor.

The 190 sl motor is your basic engine, nothing out of the ordinary.
