US Grand Prix - Seat recommendations?

I'm going to buy two tickets (myself & wife) to the US Grand Prix this summer. I checked out the website and it seems like tickets are available in most all sections. Here is the site map-

I'd appreciate recommendations from anyone that has attended the event. Here are my current options-

-Section J row G (is 7 rows up high enough?)
-Corner 10 Terrace row BB
-Corner 6 Terrace row S
-Northwest Vista row QQ
-Section H is sold out

Thanks in advance.

I'd go with J, but I've never been there and I'm just basing this off the map.

I hve tickets on J, been there every year. That is the best, you see the exit of the pits, the touhest braking (and best passing OP. T1), you also have a straight shot at a big screen (over T1) so you can see the rest of the track, ...

Bring an umbrella..............

Of the options that you have, I would also go with Stand J.

Corner 10 Terrace is over the slowest portion of the track. Great views, but very slow and little happening in that section of the course. I prefer the grass viewing mounds directly across from those stands to see that section of the course.

The Corner 6 stands were new last year and I was there for the Formula BMW race. Its a nice view of that section, but, as of last year, there was no Jumbotron viewable from those stands. I know it sounds trivial, but once you come to rely on them for seeing whats going on elsewhere on the course, you miss them. They may have added one there for this year?

Never been in NW Vista but its the same view as Stand J, only farther away.

Section H is where I'm at this year and last, and its definitely the best view for the phenomenal braking zone into Turn 1. If you want to take your chances, there are, it seems, always sellers at 16th & Georgetown with lots of Stand H tickets to sell, albeit at a premium that no doubt declines the closer you get to the start.

I also wouldn't underestimate the Paddock section. Great views of the pits, pre grid activity and the start, and monitors everywhere. It also has the benefit of being covered, which is a distinct benefit if or when rain pours like it did in 2003.

Good luck,
Tim

Section J will be good for the race. Make sure you have lots of sunscreen and an unbrella.
Will you be there for the 3 days leading up to the race? If so, be sure to walk around the whole track since you can see the practice sessions and qualifying from any of the other areas. Sections 6 and 10 are great for seing the cars in the turns. Also, don't miss the pit walk about on Thursday morning. You get close to the pits to see the cars and garages. This track may be the only one where the race fans are so lucky.
We have tickets in the paddock section C and love them. The sound is unbelievable!! You get to see the starting line, the cars and drivers as they line up, all of the pits, the podium and the large screens that show the race. If you are high enough in the stands you can see over the pits to turns 8 through 10. You can even see turn 13 back into the straight away and down the straight to turn 1.
Last year I watched Ralf's crash from my seat accross from the Ferrari pits. It freaked me out! I was so worried and no one seemed to be doing anything to help him. I was glad to see his return last year and racing for Toyota this year.
Does your wife also enjoy F1. We went to the race for the first time in 2003 and I am hooked!! Before that my husband would watch the races on speed and they were OK. Now, I am always checking the schedule so we don't miss a thing.

I hope you both enjoy the race. Mary

I make base camp at corner 8, on the mounds where the cars come off the back straight...J offer the best seats, but make sure to wander the entire track.
