If not living in SoCal, then where?
For the So Cal crowd, if you wanted to move or had a job transfer, where would you go? Arizona? Florida? Pac NW? Any listers in the Orlando area?
The obvious requirements would be good P-car weather and preferably some tracks nearby :) Thanks -B |
I think about this everyday.
Denver! Charleston, SC! Michael |
South East Florida. I'm packed and just waiting for the property distribution to be resolved.
|
How about Los Angeles, Mexico? You'd hate it up here...it rained today.
|
I think about going back to florida now and again...then I remember it's the south.
|
Sorry, Florida is not the South. I would move back there though. Ive been working in Nashville since October and I honestly think I could move there for the right job.
|
i hope to retire in new mexico.
|
I dont know how long its been pbs911, but you REALLY dont want to move to SE Florida. Its nice weather, but everything else is really the pits. Trust me, been there, done that, and I wont ever go back. Now, Tennesee, S. Carolina, etc., those places are nice.
|
Probably Asia or Europe.
|
My first choice would be Ireland, second choice would be somewhere in the Bahama's.

When it comes to florida stick to the north east or west coasts.
There is also a lot of auto-x and track activity all around the tampa bay area. |
Please, not the Pacific NW, we already have are quota of S. California "transplants"...so many in fact that we had to send The Evil One down there :)
|
Good P-car weather and Pac NW do not belong in the same sentance.

I'm not sure if there is enough money in the world to lure me to Florida as a year-round resident, but I guess some people actually like the "tropical" climate. To me it's one big swamp.
To answer your question: Austin, Texas. From what I understand, no one has ever visited the place w/o falling in love immediately. Absolutely fantastic city, climate and gorgeous women. |
So true, very swampy, hot and flat, but if you go to north florida its less swampy, not as hot and there are some hills to break up the landscape.
|
Hawaii... expensive as heck but not much more than what I'm used to being a native Los Angelino.
No good track (that I know of) but big island has some good roads, I would be willing to make the sacrifice to live in paradise. |
New Zealand. Depending on how the next year or two goes, I might start a serious job search.
