How many songs do you have on your iPod?
I loaded a couple of CDs onto my iPod this weekend and noticed I have 1,078 songs...just curious, who has the most songs loaded?

1738 - 5.5 days worth!
|
I've got 3428 songs on my ipod. Unless you put your songs in playlists, I find you don't listen to them that often. It gets kind of hard running on a treadmill and scrolling through 3500 songs.

1215
Too many actually. I really need to start organizing my playlists. |
Yeah... that's too many.
That's why I went with a HiMD player. I can fit about 8 hours of 256kbps tracks on one 1GB disc. That cuts down on weeding through stuff I don't want to listen to right now to get to the stuff I want to. The new generation of HiMD players will now play MP3 files instead of having to transcode them. I hope Sony plays it right this time, and markets HiMD better. |
Only one. Cracklin' Rosie , by Neil Diamond.
;) |
I have about 5000 - 6000 on my old 10GB iPod. Basically almost every CD I own, plus several audio books. Lots of playlists.
And about 200 on the iPod Shuffle. |
8000 on my Creative Nomad with 80GB hard drive...
|
2005 songs...I usually hit shuffle songs, but I'll hear the same 200-300 songs. Does that happen to you too?
|
0 Songs, 0 iPods as well. ;)
|
456...the entire U2 catalog.
Saw 'em last Monday night here in Seattle at the Key Arena...from inside the inner circle. Rocked. |
none! hell, I don't even own one. I feel so liberated and freeeeee!!!
|
1600. I'm always scrolling, because I won't take the time to organize.
|
Zero, but I do have satellite radio and the soundtrack from "Blow" in my CD player:)
|
Just checked. 1989. About half of where I'll be.
|
Got to get me one of them IPODs.

I'm thinking about getting a 4GB Ipod... but not for music. I'd just like something about that capacity that I can copy files to. I work evenings, and like to download TV shows to my laptop and watch them at work. Having a few gigs on a portable harddrive would make it great to move some files to and from.
... I just wish my laptop had a USB 2.0 controller... transferring files on 1.1 is slow. |
I used my iPod as a temporary file disk, but had problems with it. about a week of moving files around, going to different computers, all of that, it just quit working altogether. I ran through every diagnostics procedure I could find, but my iPod was just dead. I don't know if it was related to the file stuff or moving from one computer to another, but it was dead. They sent me a fresh one, and it's worked fine so far. I got a 30gig 2.5" firewire drive for files, so the ipod is music only now.

I just topped 500. Got 28 freebies from the Pepsi contest.
|
just under 7000 but i still have about 70 CDs to rip.
not one has been purchased online tho... still waiting for iTunes shop to be available in Australia. |
Make sure you back those files up somewhere!
I read a news story about a woman who assaulted her boyfriend because he screwed up her Ipod. She was upset because she had downloaded hundreds of songs to it... but didn't save them anywhere else. One reason I love my HiMD player. If the player gets messed up, new player, same media. |
Well the data is on the ipod, on my primary HDD and my backup HDD so it would take a fire or such like to kill them all and if that happened i think i would have bigger issues to worry about.
|
Backing up is a great thing.
I bought a 3.5" external harddrive recently and threw a 120GB drive in it. I only have about 12GB of MP3s, but I back up other stuff to it. I also have most of that stuff on my 'server' box. |
