Random observations on drive to work

I drive my daughter to school every morning - as a result, I wind up having a 18 mile drive through the city every day.

Here are just a few observations:

1. A "I'm not tailgating, I'm drafting!" bumper sticker somehow loses its meaning when applied to a old minivan.

2. You never see a smiling jogger

3. Senior citizens somehow think that the simple act of using a turn signal overides all other traffic laws, not to mention the laws of physics, and grants them immediate right of way.

4. It's funny to see a riced out honda civic full of high school students try to race you in your 911.

5. It's even funnier to see them hang out the window and taunt you when you don't respond to their challenge.

6. It's f*cking hillarious watching said honda get pulled over by the police for having passengers hang out the window while driving 15 miles per hour over the speed limit in a school zone.

7. Why is it everyone in the Starbucks drive through is driving a lexus, infiniti, BMW, Mercedes etc? Why are they all talking on their cell phones?

8. The Dunkin Donuts drive through is populated bu chevys, buicks, hyundais, etc. They are all talking on their cell phones too.

9. A 300 pound woman wearing spandex and walking one of those little rat sized dogs is both amusing and nauseating at the same time.

10. If you get stopped at one traffic light, you will get stopped at them all.

11. The CD you really want to listen to has somehow managed to work its way to the most inconvenient place in your car.

12. The desire to stop at a traffic light to retrieve said CD will overide rule #10 above, all lights will be green until you reach your destination.

13. How is it that two chevron stations, 2 blocks apart, can have a $0.07\gallon prive difference.... when they are owned by the same franchise?

14. The guy with the "lead, follow, or get out of the way!" bumper sticker is usually the jackas$ that is doing 1 MPH over the speed limit in the fast lane.

15. A woman smoking while driving and applying makeup at the same time tends to wander from lane to lane.

16. It used to be that when you saw someone talking to themselves, you assumed they were mentally ill. Now you just assume they are talking on their hands free cell phone.

17. Most puck up trucks that have been lifted are driven by men with mullets, or large woman with several tatoos.

18. Would anyone with a degree of common sense actually hire a lawyer that advertizes on the morning radio comedy show?

19. The politeness of a driver generally tends to be inversely proportional to the value of the car they are driving.

20. It is entertaing to watch a Hummer H2 driver fill his gas tank,
You can see the pain in his eyes, at roughly every $5.00 mark on the pump, you can see him wince. They shake their heads as they put the nozzle back on the pump.

Thats all for now..

If they are running along a busy road, they probably won't be smiling because they will look... well, crazy. I am an avid runner/jogger, and I prefer to run in wooded areas, away from roads, for this very reason

:D

I am not sure what you mean here. If you mean the nicer the car the more polite the driver I urge you to go to Boca Ratton Florida and drive around afor a day or two. You will find the opposite is true.

If you mean the cheaper the car the more polite the driver I might agree with you if I did not have to drive in Port St. Lucie Florida every day to get to my office.

I also find I am treated differently in traffic when in my Dodge Truck Vs. my wifes Audi. People will not cut you a break when in the Audi.

Shouldn't it be "on drive to werk"? :)

There's a term for that now: Cell Crazy
