Tony Blair Wins

Ever since Tony Blair decided to stand with the USA in the war on terror I've been listening to the America haters here & elsewhere talk about the spanking he would take in the next elevtion. SHAZAAM, Tony kicked butt. His party did loose 2 seats in parliment but still holds tha majority. Once again the tin foil hats fail to accurately receive the incoming messages from the big giant head.

The will always be an England. Somehow....

Not according to the BBC. I was listening to those biased idiots this morning on the way to work. 15 minutes of ranting about how the votors sent Tony Blair a "message" and how the anti-war sentiment was the real story of the election. Then smugly pleased stories of conspicuous Blair supporters who lost their seats. Then, finally, they concede that Labor/Blair won.

I guess having the BBC as the national news media over there would be like if NPR was the main source of news here.

Go watch the Daily show video "a spot of Indecision" at comedycentral.com. for a few laughs on the British Election. Political Satire at it's best..

Mule - Nice to see you endorse a "social democrat" political party - perhaps there is hope for you after all. What next? A love affair with John Kerry, perhaps?

Most british voters disagree with blair's decision to go to war in iraq, but at the same time most of the same people hate his opponent too.

Ah, the wonders of the two party system.

cool, we are no longer the only stupid/ugly people in the world's eyes. the english seem to be short canidates too. i think blair ran against a kerry johnson?

Well, I certainly understand their quandry too. I was so displeased with our major party candidates in the last election that even despite my extreme dislike of bush I went for the clean conscience of voting for nader.
