What Would You Do If You Knew You Were Going To Die in 24 Hours?
 

OK - it is a terrible thought, but how would you spend your last 24 hours?

I think about that everytime I get ready for a trip. Here is what I do 24 hours prior becuase I never really know if it will be the last time I take air. Maybe I should do these things more...
1) Take the Targa for a nice run - alone.
2) Then take one or both of the kids for a run in it.
3) Spend as much time playing with both kids and really listening to them.
4) Letting Lisa unload as much ***** as she can - which is typically alot (more for her sake then mine).
5) Let the kids stay up way late and watch movies with them.
6) Hold one or both till they fall asleep
7) Check on them during the night - about every 2 hours. Kiss their heads and tell them I love them, am proud of them and to take care of each other and Mommy
8) Eat junk food
9) Sit with God while everyone else is asleep...
10) Tell Lisa I love her and admire her even if we have had a bad few days or so.
11) Call my Dad and tell him he is my hero and that I love him.

Can't say I would do anything more...

Quite the morbid question there...

There was a Simpsons episode where homer is told to live every moment like its his last. The next shot is him sobbing uncontrollably... 'I'm gonna die!' :)

I do the nice stuff - playing with the kids, listening to the wife - every day.

So I would exact revenge on a couple of real jerks who definitely deserve it. They know who they are (and no, they are not on this board).

I would get my 2 children together and clear the air about the divorce. I never got to tell them my side. Thier mother is a contol freak...and to tell them I love them and am sorry it didn't work out. Then I would go away satisfied.

Would I get to take someone with me?

Hire the Limo to take me to the Bellagio Villas, go out have a nice meal, hire the best talent for an end of the world romp, and 10 minutes to 12 put ALL my money on the Crap Table Pass Line for a one roll finally.....

A total assault 911 drive in the mountains.
Tell my husband and daughter how much I love them.
Prepare a romantic dinner.
Eat it and then think beautiful thoughts with a 20 year old malt and my husband next to me on the sofa.
Pretty much what I do most weekends.

I thought about this subject a bit this week. I think I met the guy (Mike Hartman) who was killed at our company, about 24 hours before he was killed. Spent a bit of time on Thursday at our trade show talking with a guy who's office was next door to the shooting. He was talking with Mike only 2 hours before...

I called my wife and told her how much I loved her and then did the same to my parents...

Divorce is painful enough for all involved. When one parent uses the kids against the other parent, it's just wrong!

don't worry, wait till the kids are old enough... when they break ties from there mother , say college. by then they will be mature enough to look at it from both sides.

I don't have a husband or a daughter, but otherwise it is perfect. Especially the "most weekends" part ;)

Perfect opportunity for you to reconcile with your original faith and former wife...;)

Probably have all my friends and family over for a hell of a 24 hour reunion party. Pay for all their airfares with a bad check. Spend as much time as I could with each and every one of them and give them all of my posessions that I would like them to have personally. Kick them all out at 11:00 and make love to my wife one last time...die in her arms.
