I was going to start a new thread about this, but might as well just post here.

Yes, Nostatic has been chosen as the new moderator for the OT forums. Why? He's got a level head, doesn't take things too seriously, and I think he'll balance out this forum well.

I'll say again something I've been saying for five years. This Board is special. It is very special. Even though it has grown large and we've had our family spats. And I believe that heavy-handed moderation would work at cross-purposes with the excellent atmosphere we have here. It's a tough balance, but Wayne and his people have done a stellar job of keeping their hands and feet clear of the machinery. They need to step in occasionally, and I'm prepared for a spanking at times that mercifully does not come. But I'm going to be humble and respectful if it does. Z-Man has done a terrific job. Nostatic will be fine (though I think we should take him for a roller coaster ride for a week or two, as a kind of 'congratulations'). This Board continues to evolve, and in spite of some recent comments I have seen, I believe its self-policing community still worksl

This board isn't special. Z-Man is a pro, and always makes the right decision, but I hate it here. You lefties make me miserable. i'm saddened with the knowledge that you people actually believe some of the crap you spout off about.

congrats todd on becoming the 2nd most important person behind Z in OT. I must say my vote was for rickm, but you'd have been my choice had rick become unable to fulfill his duties due to illness or any type of scandal.
