Hello,
Compliments of the day to you.Am okey with the price of the car. well i just called my client who was suppose to send you the payment on my behalf and he told me the cheque has been issued but he made a mistake with the amount he issued. I called him and told him to issued out a check for the total sum of $4600 but he issued a check of $8000 Please i really dont want this to deal our transaction as i would be needing the car soon so i have told him to mail out the check of $8000 to you and as soon as it clears you would transfer outstanding balance of $3300 to the shipping company through WESTERN UNION MONEY TRANSFER. I will compensate you with the sum of $100 for your running arround. So please here are the figures for record purpose...... Total amount on cheque .....$8000 Cost of the car .....$4600 + $100 (compensation) Transfer to shipping company ....$3300 Please i hope i can trust you with my money as i dont think i have any other choice. Kindly respond immediately with your full name, phone numbers and mailing address. so that the check can be issue out ans ent to you asap.. There is a guy in England that does a lot of business on E-bay. He started screwing with these scammers. I might have posted something about it here. It was very funny.
He would describe the car for sale as having aminor blemish on the engine block, a hole about the size of his fist in it where the rod came out, but, it could be fixed easily. The scammer would just agree to anything to try to get him to send money. Screw with him and post up his replies.

update:
He is sending my check...lol. Im curious if anyone at Universal Studios will accept the check in the name of Herman Munster. I cant wait to see what happens. We had something on the news around here yesterday that one back wont deal with any Nigerian checks because they have received over $50,000 in checks and all bad. That sucks.

Awesome! Scan the check and post it up for us to see.
Then give us his e-mail addy so we can abuse him. Or better yet mail him a box of fish guts or dog poo instead of a check.

I didnt give him my address though. I gave him Herman Munsters address on Mockingbird Lane in Studio City and Tommy Tutone's phone number 867-5309.
It seems this thing has a few levels. First feelers with fake emails and then when they get a "live one" they send it to somebody higher who can cut a bad check to send to the victim.

If I ever sell anything else on eBay or any other Internet site, I'll put in a disclaimer that I will not sell to any Nigerian or person sending me a money order or cashier's check for anything but the exact amount. It can take up to 30 days for these bad money orders/cashier's checks to bounce. Anyone who gets taken by these clowns deserves it...

Hmmm, As part of my account deal with a small local bank, I get free cashier's checks. That's how I pay for my ebay purchases, which haven't been many. It's tales of PAYPAL that have scared me. So far, so good on the cashier's checks...I haven't been burned yet, but all purchased have been under $500.

I have had good luck with the people on Pelican and Rennlist and so far on Ebay. No bad deals yet. If you have something posted for sale on the internet they get your email and then offer you way more then what your asking. They also give themselves away with the funny use of the english language.
I dont want to see anyone's hard earned money taken away from them. Some scammers got my grandmother for a bunch of her savings just because she didnt know. She didnt deserve it but was elderly and just didnt know. Then she was too embarresed to tell anyone except me. The boiler room was in Arizona and I got the Attorney General involved but no money was recovered but the place was closed down. Im sure it opened the next day somewhere but my grandmother never received any more contact from these people.
