LA Pelicans -- did you vote today?

...or are you part of the 70 percent of the Angelino slackers who don't care about the mayor's race?

Come on, don't be ashamed of civic disinterest. Speak up!;)

There's an election today?

mikester 05-17-2005 12:05 PM

Can't vote -live in the county but El Segundo has it's own mayor and such.

mikester 05-17-2005 12:27 PM

Hmmm...so the only guys who responded live in El Segundo. That's not saying much...or maybe it is...

Long Beach here. Not eligible. LA is just an obstacle between me and getting to work in the morning, so I guess I don't care.

Who's Hahn? Oh, you mean the mayor in the empty suit.

I dont live in El Segundo.

I was BORN in El Segundo on Grand Ave. I dont know if that means anything.....

Voted with my feet years ago. Moved to Vegas.

Whoever is mayor is pretty irrelevant. Trying to placate the 328 different minority factions is now an official nightmare.

Not gonna make any difference anyway.

Despite what all the campaign ads may have said, the Mayor of Los Angeles has no real power to improve the schools, traffic, or crime.

But, I did vote today. Don't really feel like I can gripe about things if I don't exercise my right to choose...even when the choices aren't exactly appealing.

I voted today, but in the BC Provincial elections!
:)

dd74 05-17-2005 09:03 PM

I voted only so I can gripe.

Live in Santa Clarita, couldn't participate. I think they both stunk however.
