Question Gran Turismo 4 steering wheel?

I just got GT4 for my Playstation, and it is hard as hell to control the car with the stock controller. Anyone have a steering wheel to play GT4 with? Are you satisfied with it?

I'm still stuck in the world of digital controllers when it comes to driving games (GT4 mostly) BUT I've heard nothing but good things about the logitech driving force pro. It's tailor made for GT4, including 720 degrees of rotation and force feedback.

At Best Buy, in the video game area, they have a steering wheel designed to be used with GT4. I dont remember the maker, but the had a huge sticker on it claiming it was made to be used with this game.

I have been a big fan of Gran Turismo since the first version came out and I have never used anything but the digital controller that came with the game. Sad, huh? Bad thing is, I'm actually pretty good with it...

That's sweet, but I think I'll settle for this: Logitech Driving Force Pro

Sounds pretty impressive. Do you think I can mount it on a tv tray?

Hmmmm...I've been wondering the same thing....they make something for your lap to bolt this to.......

I finished GT3 at 97% with just a game controller.......

Believe it or not, I never played GT until buying GT4 last nights. I got fed up with driving games in the early 90s, and I had assumed that the recent games were just as bad. Wow, was I wrong.

I've looked around, and a lot of people say the lap tray sucks. The complaint with a TV tray is that it isn't as heavy as one would like, and the space for your feet is a little cramped.

I've tried the wheel at a friend's place (I play with the paddles) it felt really great but kept losing center after violent turns or corrections. In the end it was more annoying than anything !
