I had this 76 911S roller for sale and have a real guy that wants it but has to do some cashing in of some retirement funds. We exchange emails a few times and he says he is mailing me a deposit to hold it for a couple of weeks. I told him no problem and his deposit never shows up. I send a few emails to check back with him and he doesnt even answer me back to say he didnt want it. So I put it back for sale.
Now I have a 912 rain shield for sale and get an email and they guy wants it and we exchange emails and he says he wants it so I give him my address and he says check is in the mail. I waited for a check and no check comes. I email the buyer back 3 times to check with him and no answer. So I put it back for sale. I have never sold anything on this site but thought I would try. I don't know whats going on. I have bought alot of stuff off Pelican and havent had any trouble {except with UPS, but we got that fixed with a claim}. Im just curious if this happens much? kycarguy@yahoo.com

You should come up with a disclaimer!
"If funds are not received in a pre-agreed-upon time frame, the item/car will go back up for sale" Or something like that. ![]()

Good idea. I just didnt want to seem like a hard azz.
When I want to buy something I dont tell people I will buy it unless I really am going to buy it. I dont get the reasoning behind it.

I recently listed 13 auctions. 12 finished, all 12 were paid in a reasonable period of time, none of my bidders were idiots.
The 13th auction which didn't get bids - it sold offline 10 minutes after it ended, some dude forgot to bid, made a deal, sent funds fast. I was amazed at my 100% success rate. It has bolstered my confidence/motivation to start another round. Sorry to hear about your luck. I've had similar experiences.. "I've just got to have these MFI parts" and then ... NOTHING. No response to PM's (but you can tell whether they've read 'em or not...bastards) "I've just got to have that 930...I'll be there with my trailer Saturday" and then ... NOTHING.
