Could you be with a successful woman?

Most of my coworkers are women who are successful, high wage earners. The vast majority of them have stay-at-home husbands but some have spouses who earn a small fraction of the total household income. These women not only spend many hours at work but they also spend much more time than their husbands caring for the kids. I hear them complain all the time about their husbands not wanting to shuttle the kids to practices, lessons, etc because Moms should do that. I also hear them complain about their husbands' outrageous spending habits.

I can't help but think these guys are being pains in the a$$ to compensate or cope somehow with the success of their wives. It may sound like I'm generalizing but, seriously, every female coworker I know who's husband earns less fits this mold. These women complain that their spouses are lazy, unmotivated yet very demanding.

I'd like to think that if my wife started earning way more than myself that I'd be cool with it. I'm hoping pride won't get in the way and start manifesting itself in ways above.

I find that people dont change very much.

"These women complain that their spouses are lazy, unmotivated yet very demanding."

Most likely the shlubs they are married to were shlubs already...

My wife makes a few bucks more than I do (for the moment!) and we both work full time and we have a son. She works from home 3 days a week and keeps him with her most of that time.

I don't have a problem with it but I grew up with it really. There were times when my Mom made more than my Dad as he was in the service. He also worked very early hours at that time and was home by around noon every day. So #1 I got caught ditching a lot (caught in the shower with a girl more than a few times) #2 Dad was home for the kids during that time in our lives after school and such. Mom worked a bit late and brought home more bacon. I think I handle it better than my Dad but I can't say that I don't with that I made enough so that my wife didn't have to work. We've been faced with a couple of opportunities here and there where we could move to a lower cost of living state and my salary would support us. The downside is that we really enjoy life where we are and she simply doesn't want to STOP working but she would love to cut back to part time. Her work is supportive of women who want to do that so that is what we're trying to do now...as soon as I find a job making more money.

It's rough for me because I want to give her the ability to be with our son and of course that's the best place for our son to be during the day. Though he does enjoy all the hotties we leave him with at day care it seems.

My wife knows a few chicks who have house husbands and frankly I think it'd be great. I love bon bons.

I'm not sure; give me a few nights with her and I'll get back to you.

I could easily be a stay at home husband but I think it is difficult in today's society for this to be allowed. I am not lazy by any means but I like the home life more than the work place. But unfortunately to be able to afford a home sometimes both are required to work. So, yes I could be with a successful woman and hope to find one eventually.

After ending marriage with my former wife, an attorney, the only imput I have is to say "success" is NOT defined by the position held or salery earned. There is so very much more.

The women described in the intial post as "successful" just sounds like a b!tch to me. Successful is being able to have a complete life, not just a particular position in the corporate environment.

I fantacize about a woman with brains and ambition. Not so much the ambition part, but the brains fer sher. And even the ambition thing would be fun in-house competition. It seems I always get the 'deer in the headlights' reaction when I'd really rather get the occasional "That is the thickest pile of bull**** I've ever heard, Jim" response. That'd be cool. So no. I'm not very easy to intimidate. Except for you guys, of course. I'm fairly timid here, as you know. (wink)

And besides. I like bon bons too. Perhaps I'll send a box of my business cards to 96conv. As I've said here before, I'm hoping to fill several positions under me, if you know what I mean, and spots are still available. Do you think successful women would be interested in joining a harem?

Wish I could take credit for this but....

When I was 14, I hoped that one day I would have a girlfriend.

When I was 16 I got a girlfriend, but there was no passion, so I
decided I needed a passionate girl with a zest for life.
In college I dated a passionate girl, but she was too emotional.
Everything was an emergency; she was a drama queen, cried all the time
and threatened suicide. So I decided I needed a girl with stability.

When I was 25 I found a very stable girl but she was boring. She was
totally predictable and never got excited about anything. Life became
so dull that I decided that I needed a girl with some excitement.

When I was 28 I found an exciting girl, but I couldn't keep up with
her. She rushed from one thing to another, never settling on
anything. She did mad impetuous things and made me miserable as often
as happy. She was great fun initially and very energetic, but
directionless. So I decided to find a girl with some real ambition.

When I turned 31, I found a smart ambitious girl with her feet
planted firmly on the ground and married her. She was so ambitious
that she divorced me and took everything I owned.

I am now older and wiser, and am looking for a girl with big tits.

I think you've got the question phrased incorrectly. Better to ask: How can you not be with a successful woman? Given the choice between a peer and a satellite, I'll take a peer every day of the week.

Not true at all; sometimes they're on top!

Is doggy-style therefore more equitable?

Sounds like Pelican OT is your perfect wife!

Minus the boobs, of course.

I've always wished you guys had bigger boobs.

Yeah, now that you poke me on this topic Blue, I guess Iv'e always been a debate masochist. I like being punched in the face, only not so much a physical punch in the face as a blow to my logic. That makes me hot.
