Anyone a real estate lawyer in Sacramento CA?
Hey guys I need a good real estate lawyer in El Dorado county just outside of Sacramento. I am in the middle of escrow on a really nice house, one that both my wife and I both agreed on ( took 6 months to find one ) and now I am faced with sellers remorse and wondering what my options are.
Any ideas or help is appreciated. Thanks

I think you can force them to sell by suing for "specific performance." A seller can't force a buyer to buy, though.
David Ingram at Tennant, Ingram & Randon is a good friend of my boss, and is supposed to be a damn good attorney in Sacramento. I would trust a referral from him if it's not his thing. (916) 244-3400.

What does your sale contract say? Your agent should also be able to give you some advice, that is what you pay him that crazy fee for. Michael

Thanks for the contact Steve. I just found out this seller did the same thing 2 years ago to another buyer, but they just walked away. Im trying really hard not to be the bad guy, but I really like the house.

Michael, The agent says, "Its too mush trouble and cost to go after the seller... there is another house over here, etc.". She is a nice woman, but she is not confrontational.

The seller just gave me a nice little check to go away  But now I start looking all over again

the price of houses around sacramento, and california for that matter, seems to be going up by the second....i wonder if the seller felt they could get more money for the house which is why they gave you a check??

I know about the house prices... its nuts up here. I think the seller went looking for another house up in Oregon, and found the prices out of hand there as well. So they wanted to stay here.
