I saw it at the Cast and Crew screening at the El Capitan, it was great. The Disney intro at the El Capitan has a great performance by the Wurlitzer organ which has an incredible number of horn and string instruments attached to the organ.

Saw it yesterday with my 9-year old daughter, and I don't know who loved it more. In the original, I don't think the word, "Volkswagen" was ever uttered, as if we weren't supposed to know it was a real car or something. This time, the Nascar rival, and many others kept sayings things like, "I can't believe I was beat by a '63 Volkswagen!". As an old VW nut, I loved it.
The idiot SF Chronicle movie critic gave it a bad review, with two main complaints: First, not enough skin shown by Lindsay Lohan. Second, too much product endorsement in the Nascar scenes. |

My daughter loved it. She screamed out loud a few times during the slapstick scenes. It was much, much better than Herbie Goes Bananas that we rented last week. That was terrible!
|
We saw it yesterday. It was more realistic than "Days of Thunder"
BTW-There were several 356 powered Herbies built for the original movie. There is a guy in Orlando that has one and he drove it in one of our a/x's. Cool car. Paul |
Geez, two pages, and no Lindsay Lohan pics?? Alright...help is on it's way...

he's pointing at her boob :D

OK I'll bite and go see it. The best of the Herbies was the original and Herbie goes to Monte Carlo. There are some great cars in those films but more 911's in the Monte Carlo film. I have both on DVD, I think I would own them regargless of the fact I have two sons (5&8).
