Any good Nextel phones on the way?
I hate my i830 with the burning intensity of a thousand suns. I have blown over 5 two way speakers and am on my second phone. It is junk. I loved it at first, but it falls apart long term.
None of the current offerings turn me on, anyone have inside info on what's coming? A camera would be useful, but not required.

I thought I heard a while back that Motorola had lost the Nextel contract after the year 200x? Anyone else hear that?

I read a bit on Motorola in the Chicago Tribune a few months ago (Schaumburg-based and all). It said that Nextel was Motorola's largest customer. I doubt Motorola would give that up without a fight, and such a fight would be well-publicized, at least locally. I haven't heard anything. Maybe with the Sprint merger, there is some doubt about Motorola's continuing role as sole equipment supplier to Nextel?

the i860 w/camera but ugly design or the new i836 cool design but the same futures of the i830
I have the clasic i530 w/yellow housing (looks like the perfect phone for a DIY person, like DeWalt tools)
