Buying a Ford/Mazda/Volvo/Land Rover/Jag?

If anyone is considering buying anything from Ford's family of fine automobiles (no comments required), PM me first. I'm not a dealer, but as a Ford employee I can get you the 'X-plan' (friends and neighbors) price on any of the above vehicles. This usually ends up being a pretty good deal on the better sellers that the dealers are not discounting much (trucks in particular). You still get all rebates too.

Ford is doubling the number of cars I'm allowed to do this on this year from 4 to 8, and is also offering me a small cash reward for each sale.

You can ask the dealer for the X-plan price on the car you are interested in to see if it is worth your while. Send me a note if interested.

Rick

Rick, can I come to you in a year's time when I move back to the states??

My wife would kill for a Volvo station wagon.

Thanks.

So how do you handle it when the dealer tells you "Oh, sorry....those aren't on X-plan." when you know full well that they are accordign to the web-site?

Sweet and generous offer, my sister in law works for them.

Effing dealers....

Marc, absolutely. Contact me whenever you are ready. Next year I may only have the ability to do 4 cars though.

Good question on dealer participation. I don't believe that there is any requirement for the dealers to honor the purchase plans, but I know that with all the Ford employees around here a dealer would be cutting his own throat by not cooperating. I'd try a different dealer if I were you.
