Another Morgan Freeman movie

He drives a 911 in "Along Came a Spider." And wasn't there a Friends episode where one of the guys covers boxes with a Porsche car cover to impress passing girls?

Nobody has mentioned the 996 Cabrio in MI2! Rediculous scene spinning with an Audi TT down a mountain, but its more believable than the later motorcycle scenes...

For a more obscure one: the Destructors, 1974 with Anthony Quinn

Not a movie, but doesn't Krusty the Clown (Simpsons) drive a 930 or Turbo look?

Maybe cartoons don't count.

80s movies that you dont remember:

"Opportunity Knocks" - Dana Carvey is a con man who drives someone else's Guards Red 911 Carrera Cab.

"Run" - Patrick Dempsey is a college student who gets paid to drive someone else's Guards Red 911 Carrera Cab to Atlantic City. Car gets smashed up by a bulldozer.

"Shattered" - Tom Berenger's ex wife is a psycho killer who drives someone else's Guards Red 911 Carrera Targa. Great chase scene in the forrest. The 911 wins.

From the book. Notice anything? Apparently, Tom Clancy is better with submarines, aircraft, satellites, and nuclear weapons than he is with cars...

In Pacific Heights, Michael Keaton drove a black 911.

He also introduced an interesting method of real estate aquisition in that movie.

Question

Dan Hagerty? (Grizzly Adams) did a "B" movie in the late 70's where he was involved with a Porsche race tream. There were several garage scenes involving a real RSR. I wonder if anyone knows the name of that movie.

You don't actually see the 911, but both the horn & engine sounds are authentic. Definitely a B grade flick...but I love it, because the sights and sounds are so damned "period correct"...

There was a B movie I rented once that had a racer that raced a Porsche. Wild man plot, taking too many chances, etc. It looked like most of the filming was done at Willow Springs and may have had some POC cars as some of the other racers. It was probably made sometime during the 90's. I cannot remember the name of it. I remember it being OK, but not real good. Anyone else seen this?

Doug- The "Smallville" SC was auctioned in the Spring of '03, I believe.
It was sold in Victoria, BC. where, I understand, much of the show is filmed.
I know that Lana Lang (aka Kristen Kreuk) is from there also.

Here's one for you...............

In Miami Vice episode #55 "Forgive us our Debts", there is a brief flashback at the beginning before Crockett drove the Daytona. He drove.....believe it or not..........a 930. Its only a minute-long shot or so, but you heard it here first!

Did'nt Danny Sulivan appear in an episode if Miami Vice where there was some people who were street racing in GTP cars? I think there was a Porsche in that.

Also Phil Collins drove a Slantnose car in one of the episode, I believe.

Boy am I good!

Here is the synapsys of the episode with Danny Sullivan:

Florence Italy

Rating:

Airdate: 14 Feb 1986 (NBC)

Plot: The Miami Grand Prix has brought plenty of high rollers and fast cars to town. When a Porsche 906 zips past Crockett and Tubbs one night, they give chase until a slain prostitute, Florence Italy, is tossed from the speeding car. The car belongs to Danny Tepper, one of the Grand Prix entrants, who claims the car was stolen and that he's innocent. He's covering up for his father, Frank, who had borrowed the car that night. But Frank denies any connection with the killing when Danny confronts him. The vice cops' search for the killer eventually forces Danny Tepper to face an unpleasant truth about his past - and his father.

You are correct, my friend. You're referring to Episode #33 - "Phil the Shill".

I'm getting all this vitally important information from www.miami-vice.org for those (correctly) thinking that I'm some kind of freak.
