Impeachment
Removal from public office for violation of the public trust.
"Article III. Section 1 The judicial Power of the United States, shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish. The Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behavior, and shall, at stated Times, receive for their Services a Compensation which shall not be diminished during their Continuance in Office." "Amendment V No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation." "Amendment X The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." I personally believe that the last 2 major rulings by the Supreme court, "Raich vs. Gonzales" and "Kelo vs. City of New London", vilolate Articles X and V respectively of the Bill of Rights, otherwise known as the Tenth and Fifth amendments to the Constitution of the United States. Therefore I am writing my Representative to vote for Impeachment proceedings against Justices Stevens, Breyer, Souter, Ginsburg and Kennedy. |
Can't say I blame you.
But, the whole system is so attuned to the special interests I do not know if it can ever be redeemed. Perhaps someone should investigate any untoward increases in any of the five bank balances. |
Don't U BOyz get it....ANY empire goes through a growth faze a plateauing and a decline faze....When an empire gets wealthy and is on top they begin to coast thinking they got it made...and don't have to put in the long hours on the job anymore...the very thing that made them great....they begin to look for ways to spend the wealth even when times get tough and should tighten the belt they keep on spending....then they begin slipping because so many ofthe entitilments just can't be cut..and then political dissension slips in over which group is going to get the shrinking piece of pie....and where does it end ...IN TOTAL COLLAPSE OF THE SYSTEM...it's inevitable....This is what my Crystal Ball told me back in 1980...

It's called "entropy", tabs.....

The crap that is going on in New London is completely insane. I grew up in the town nextdoor and my ol man spent 36 years working for Navel Underwater Warfare right there at Fort Trumbull. That area is so dead when the Navy pulled out they would do anything to spark it. Those guys that sre "developing it for ecomonic growth" are poised to make a fortune and the politicians there are so freakin greased it is laughable.

You forgot to include to impeach Breyer and Scalia regarding the "Raich vs. Gonzales" ruling.
|
OK, them too.
Toss them all! Add in Rhenquist, since he's leaving _anyway_, it only leaves Thomas.... |

What a disappointment here..... |
Yep. No disagreement here. I am "Supremely" disapointed.
|
What are _you_ doing _here_ this late on A Saturday night. I have an excuse, domesticated and everything, but _you_...no. Way too hot to be in on a Sat night.
|
Don't lose focus, rb. You are on the right track. I hear that some polling organization came back with 94% believe this was a bad decision. . .94%! that is unheard of.
It's also why the only thing we have to argue about here, is whether left or right is more to blame. Personally, I think they are all bureaucrats who want more control .. . more lips on theirs butts. |

CC,
You should have been out here in San Fran. They have the big pink triangle on the hill (for the 10th year in a row) and all the festivities going on during the weekend. Personally I like girls too much to get real excited about everything but the locals seem to be having a good time! :) Joe A |

Actually, I completely agree with previous post sentiments, but the irony was such low hanging fruit, I kinda had to. |
