Can anyone save as a Quicktime for me by any chance? I NEED to see it...
|
That's just about the coolest thing I have seen in a loooooong time!!!
Neil rocks!! |
Excellent.....6 years, 5 months to go.....
|
To what, Rick?
|
Duh, I should've said 106 years and 5 months......to 2112.
|

Rick, that's what I thought you were referring to. Great minds think alike.
Man, when I was in high school, I could play the entire " Moving Pictures" album along with Neil. Just a couple of years ago, we played "Limelight" in our every few years concert for our families. You never lose the talent that God has given you. |
To me the level of success they achieved was considerable. Partly because every ear candy lemming didn't follow them.
IMO, one canadian that didn't reach the success he deserved was Pat Travers. |

Well, I know what CD is going in the 911 for the next drive now.
|
Funny you post that; I just finished watching the Rush in Rio DVD...
|
The Rush in Rio CD is a must-have. I was stunned to see Alex essentially playing album versions of songs like Bytor and the Snow Dog.
All three of those guys are incredible musicians. |

Moving Pictures was the first CD I ever bought. I had worn out the LP from years of playing over and over. I happen to have it here with me now. I think I'll listen to it again. |
Incredible!!!!

That's Great!
I got to meet Neil at a drum seminar once. What a great guy. I went with the drummer in a band I was in a million years ago. When he found out I was a bass player, and was trying to get a better understanding of music, he seemed impressed. I was never so glad to NOT have a bass in my hands. There was no way I could ever play in front of someone like that. If he would have asked, I would have died. I learned to play what feels right, sometimes less is more, and to not play above your ability. ANd most importantly to have fun, and enjoy the music while you play it. rcecale, that is one of those songs that once you learn it, you'll never forget it. It may take once or twice, but it just feels so good once you remember it. It also has to be played on a Rickenbacker. Nothing else sounds right. I also like the beginning of Vital Signs Oh Haha, You may never lose it (God given talent), but man it sure gets rusty, and then gives you hand cramps! |
thanks! this is one of the coolest things i've seen in a long time.
