Gas spill!
Please help save my relationship. Borrowed my better halfs 2003 Audi Avant to make a lawn mower gas run and... spilled enough gas to give her car a lovely gas odor. Not alot, the can rolled over on my way to the station and a small amount came out. I tried some mild scrubbing to the back area but it still smells. Suggestions for getting rid of or neutralizing the smell?!!! Thanks! Jon

Throw a lit match on it. The smell will be gone in a "flash" and I can assure you that she won't really be all that concerned about the gas can tipping over when it's all said and done. :>)
Or try some Resolve carpet cleaner. That stuff is great. Mike |
Have you tried an air purifier? I know for a fact that this will work (http://www.purennatural.com/prod_desc.php?prod_id=322). I spilled gas on some old tennis shoes and put them in front of our XL-15, and 30 minutes later, my shoes smelled like a fresh thunderstorm.

Throw a cup of coffee out the sunroof -- should take care of the gas smell! (See other thread.... :D )

I think tooth paste will get gasoline smells out. Worth a try anyway.

...or peanutbutter.

THen getting the peanut butter out of the carpeting will make the gas smell seem like a minor inconvenience.
