Need to replace gas lines...
...on my 1988 Dodge D100 pickup, 2WD, 318 throttle body injection. Lines coming from the top of the tank are corroded and leaking badly. I have been told by the local Dodge dealer that pre-bent lines are not available and that I would have to buy some 5/16 and 3/16 lengths and bend and connect them my dang seff.
Anyone do something like this recently? Any tips or advice on tools, technique...etc. YAHBO SAY GAS LEAK NOT COOL! |
Man, I do not miss the rot of the NE winters!!
Carbed engine? A tubing bender for 1/4 5/16 tubing is cheap. When back east, when the steel lines would rot out, I used copper tubing and flared the fittings (again, a relatively inexpensive tool) FI would require some care because of the higher pressures. |
